About Back To The Table
Where skills come alive!
At a very young age, I was introduced to the importance of “the table.” Whether it was kitchen or dining room; in my home, my Noni’s home or my Grandma’s home or shop, the table had significance.
It was the place where family and friends came together to share a home cooked meal. It was the place where lessons and skills were taught. It was the place to have celebratory and tough conversations. It was the place where no matter what, you belonged and were welcomed.
It was the place where young and old came together, the elders to teach and share, and the young to learn and listen. Learning to cook, to create, to have conversations, to listen to others, to share love.
The memories and lessons that came from each of those tables stick with me to this very day.
In today’s society of hustle and bustle, the connection the table brought to our lives and communities has fallen by the wayside. I crave this connection in my life and want to bring it back for others and for the community.
It’s important for the younger generation to recognize the value of building connections and fostering a sense of community. Being able to share the skills acquired from all of those moments at the table is very important. So, let’s get “Back to the Table”. A place of learning, sharing, caring, and teaching.
Is there a skill that you would love to learn? Are you craving connection with your community or family? Does your child want to learn an old world skill? Interested in learning the skills of homesteading?
Do you want to share a skill that you are an expert in? We want to build a community of people who want to share and learn!
This business is built on the love and memory of Mary Savioli and Jeannette Jenson. May they both watch over us and help God to guide this business for which they laid the foundation.
